Rathi Priya Balakrishnan

Widely known as Karalakattai Rani, Rathi Priya is a South Indian traditional martial arts Aasan trained in the revered disciplines of Meipadam, Karalakattai, and Kalaripayattu.

Her journey into martial arts is one of transformation. Beginning her professional life as a business entrepreneur, gym coach, dancer, and beautician, she later dedicated herself fully to the ancient warrior traditions of India. Through years of focused training, she immersed herself in the physical, mental, and spiritual depth of these disciplines.

As an Aasan, Rathi Priya represents a powerful blend of physical strength, disciplined movement, breath control, and inner focus. Ruthrathi Martial Arts Foundation is how she passes that on.
